Who Am I ?

I am a fifth year PhD candidate at The University of Pennsylvania in the department of Computer Science. I got my B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering at Sharif University Of Technology in 2010 where I worked with Prof. Javad Salehi on Simulation, Design and Implementation of Block Codes In Wireless Optical Networks. I started at Penn in January 2011, working under the guidence of Prof. Roch Guerin in the Department of Electrical Engineering. Initially, I worked with Prof. Roch Guerin and Dr. Alejandro Ribeiro on Robust Distributed Routing in Wireless Mesh Networks.

After Prof. Guerin's departure from Penn, I started working with him and Dr. Boon Thau Loo on Multi-homing strategies for efficient use of MPTCP and transferred to Computer Science. I have also had some involvement in the Route Shepard project. I was on an internship in the summer of 2013 at NEC Laboratories of America where I worked with Dr. Hui Zhang, our patented project can be found here. Last but not least, in the summer of 2015, I was at an internship at Microsoft where I worked with Dr. Selim Ciraci and Dr. Geoff Outhred.

My research interests include: Network Protocols, Network QOS-QOE Improvement, and Development of Networking Simulation and Emulation Software. I have also worked on a couple of projects in Software Defined Networking.
